Board of Governors

The Board of Governors is the governing body of NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences and is responsible for NHTV’s strategic and operational policy. In addition, the Board of Governors coordinates and manages the day-to-day running of the institute.  
The secretary of the Board of Governors is Frits Harteveld MSc BEd (harteveld.f(at)nhtv.nl).

Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board monitors and oversees the policy of the Board of Governors and the manner in which it runs NHTV. Moreover, the Supervisory Board serves as a sounding board for the Board of Governors. The Supervisory Board makes decisions in conformity with the statutes, approves or rejects proposals, and keeps itself updated on the latest developments in the fields of education, research, organisational and operational management.

The aim is for the Supervisory Board to adequately represent the disciplines in which NHTV operates as an international education institution. The board is composed as follows: 

• Mr F. van Steenis (chairman), general director of the Nederlandse Staatsloterij
• Ms A.M. van Blerck-Woerdman (deputy chair), former member of the Tweede Kamer (the Dutch Lower House) and former alderwoman on the city councils of Breda and Tilburg 
• Mr F.J. van Driem, managing partner International Destination Strategies
• Mr I.W. Koster, director of CROW, knowledge platform for infrastructure, traffic, transport and public space 
• Mr P.R.J. Simons, professor of didactics at Utrecht University and director Nederlandse School voor Onderwijsmanagement (Dutch School for Education Management)
• Mr. C.J. Vrolijk RE MGA, partner Deloitte Accountants BV
• Mr. L. van Wees, Vice-President Human Resources KLM
