Challenging and Inspiring Education

NHTV’s didactic approach is that education should strike a balance between challenging students to use their own initiative through the application of knowledge, and offering students the targeted support they need in order to fully develop themselves into professionals. This is a form of education that fosters the development of competencies in students to serve the interests of students and industry. The institution is inspired by industry and students and bears the responsibility for the development of curricula. Experience has shown that the ‘most exciting’ programmes are programmes in which students themselves take an active role. For this reason, NHTV students provide a valuable input to the design of their education.

NHTV Based Learning

In its educational vision NHTV based learning, NHTV has formulated a number of shared points of departure to be built on at academy level. Both in terms of content and approach, these points of departure entail: searching for deeper truth, daring to ask questions and being innovative within the constraints of a number of NHTV values. These values include integrity and sustainability.
In this complex international context, students are given a range of perspectives from which to consider information that is either implicitly or explicitly present.

The strength of NHTV students and employees lies in their openness, their curiosity, their innovative ability, their courage to follow their intuitive convictions and their capacity to think out of the box.
