At NHTV you can obtain a Bachelor or Master degree in the fields of Games & Media, Hotel & Facility, Imagineering, Leisure, Tourism, Urban Development, Logistics & Mobility. What is the meaning of competency-based learning?

This means that the education is not only knowledge-oriented, but also focuses on the total development and growth of an individual. You will need to develop knowledge (head), skills (hands) and attitude (heart) throughout the programme. Together they are the competenties of a starting professional.

What is the higher education system?

The Netherlands has a binary system of higher education. This system includes
- universities, where the emphasis is on theory and the generation of knowledge through research
- universities of applied sciences, which prepare students for particular professions and which tend to be more practically oriented than traditional universities
NHTV offers bachelor's and master's programmes with an applied emphasis.
But NHTV also offers the academic bachelor programmes International Leisure Sciences and Bachelor of Science Tourism. -
Do I have to buy a laptop for my study at NHTV?

It is not mandatory to buy a laptop, except for the programmes International Media and Entertainment Mangement and International Game Architecture and Design. NHTV has computers for students available. NHTV does recommend to have a computer at home.

I have a learning disability, does NHTV offer special facilities?

The fact that you have a disability does not mean that you can't study. NHTV Breda is committed to enabling students with a disability to complete their studies successfully, without (too much) delay. NHTV will support you with structural facility solutions, arrangements and individual guidance.
