Application foreign students

Students from abroad

If you want to know whether the International Game Architecture and Design programme really suits you, you can do the self-assessment test. You will get immediate feedback regarding your suitability for the Academy for Digital Entertainment programmes. Please note: The test is for your information only: the results are not used in the selection procedure.

The Academy for Digital Entertainment applies a selection procedure as it admits a limited number of students every year.

Numerus fixus - Restricted intake

For the academic year 2012-2013, a maximum of 240 students will be admitted on to the International Game Architecture and Design programme. NHTV is allowed to select 100% of its own students directly from their motivation letter and the quality of their work.

Application deadlines

  • 15th May for Dutch students
  • 1st May for EEA students
  • 1st May for Non-EEA students
  • 1st June for Non-EEA students living in the Netherlands

How do I apply?

Students from abroad must apply through Studielink and the International Office of NHTV.

Step 1

If you meet the admission requirements (diploma of secondary education and sufficient results of an English language test), please register with Studielink. This is the national administration system for higher education in the Netherlands.

Manual application and enrolment

Please note: We won’t start processing your application until you are registered with Studielink.

Step 2

Fill in the application form foreign students. Please make sure you submit all additional documents requested in the application form and send the digital files to applicationpackages(at)nhtv.nl.

Step 3

Enter the assessment website with your NHTV ID code then upload the assignment onto the assessment site. Please do this as soon as possible so your assignment can be reviewed by NHTV and we can quickly give you an answer if you are accepted.

Outcome

If your application is approved you will be informed by the international office. You will be admitted on biases of your grades, CV, diploma and if required an assignment (not all variations request assignment). You will be informed in due course whether or not you have been accepted once your application is complete. 

Please note that the International Game Architecture and Design programme has a restricted intake of 240 students for academic year 2012-2013.
