Dealing with the Dutch
Deciding to study in Holland and specifically in Breda means that you are going to build up a new life and having new experiences. The period of studying and having a student life is said to be the best time in your life. Everyone will agree with this! There are many things to do during the week and weekend and you will never be bored. However, sometimes you can feel homesick or even experience a culture shock. You are always welcome to talk about this with the international office or your student counsellor. The information below might startle you, but one opinion most international students share is that the Dutch are very easy-going and enjoy life a lot and will seize any opportunity to celebrate this!
