Scholarships

Attending university is one of the most significant decisions a person today can make. It usually comes with quite a price tag too. Getting admitted to the programme of your choice is only part of the challenge. The other part is making it affordable.

The Dutch government is attempting to make Dutch higher education as accessible as possible to students and mid-career professionals from other countries. In the Netherlands, higher education is subsidised for students from EEA countries, Surinam or Switserland (please, mind additional conditions), which means that tuition fees can be kept relatively low, especially compared with the United Kingdom and the United States.
Sometimes scholarships can be used as an allowance. Below you find an overview of several scholarships and other links that may be useful for you.

NHTV Bachelor Scholarship

NHTV Bachelor Scholarship has been designed to support non-EU/EEA students who will pay the full tuition fee (institution fee) for one of the bachelor programmes at NHTV. Every year a limited number of scholarships is available for non-EU/EEA- students to contribute in the costs of the tuition fee. It consists of a €3000 reduction of the tuition fee in the first year studying at NHTV and a €1500 reduction of the tuition fee in the consecutive years.
Here you can find all information about the requirements, the application process and the selection procedure (pdf).

Student Grants

The Student Grants program is a funding opportunity for students and scholars who are going abroad (to study, teach, research, on an internship, etc.). It is a well-known fact that most students live on a very limited budget. This limited budget can be an obstacle when going abroad. Student Grants wants to help students and scholars go abroad by awarding quarterly €1000 student grants.
