As a non EU student (except for students with an American, Canadian, Monegasque, New Zealand, South Korean or Japanese nationality) you need a MVV to enter the Netherlands. A MVV (machtiging tot voorlopig verblijf) is an authorisation for temporary stay and an entrance visa for the Netherlands.
Attention:
To apply for a MVV and residence permit, two recent passport photos are needed. Note that the rules in The Netherlands on this are very strict. See the photomatrix for prerequisites.
The International Office of NHTV will start the application procedure for your MVV and residence permit as soon as you have been admitted to one of the NHTV’s course programmes. The short procedure through NHTV will take +/- 8 weeks.
Non EU students who enter the Netherlands without a MVV need to apply for a residence permit. This also will be done by International Office as soon as you have been admitted to one of our course programmes.
The International Office of NHTV will start the application procedure for your MVV and/or Residence permit (VVR) as soon as you have been admitted to one of the NHTV’s course programmes or exchange programmes. The procedure through NHTV may take +/- 8 weeks.
