NHTV Library & Information Skills

 

NHTV library offers students and staff the possibility to improve their information skills. Professional and academically trained library staff is available to offer support in literature research, can advise you in the starting process of your research project, help you to select the right sources and find your way in the many specialized databases the library has aquired.

This service will improve the quality of your search results, it helps you to avoid plagiarism and gives you more time to spend on your assignments, projects, PHD research etc.

The library aims to give you access to the most complete collection of publications, (digital) journal articles etc, as we possibly can. Therefore we also provide access to publications that aren't (currently) available in our collection.

Skilled librarians, at all library location information desks, are available during opening hours to assist you in finding your way. You can also email any questions or requests.

Some examples of special services

  • Introduction to the library for all 1st year NHTV students (see also Library Instruction).
  • Courses for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students with focus on more specialized research subjects (see als Library Instruction).
  • Follow up training for Bachelor and Master students, students who are preparing for special field trips or thesis assignment (on request).
  • Specialized workshops about searching in various databases.
  • Introduction to the library for new staff members.
