Installing Endnote

At NHTV

Staff and students can use EndNote at the NHTV network via:
"START"- "Network-menu" - “Information” – “Mediatheek” - “Endnote” - “Endnote X3”.
Now EndNote is installed on the local hard drive (C:\drive). This means that you  have to take into account that libraries and databases created have to be stored on the M:\drive or on a USB stick (if you also want to use them at home).

The installation will also add a new toolbar to Microsoft Word, so that you can use EndNote while writing texts.

At home

Students and staff can order EndNote via Surfspot.

You can also borrow a CD from the Mediatheek by means of which you can install the software on your own computer.

Please mind: if you use EndNote at home as well as at NHTV, then make sure to store the libraries (with the extension of .enl) on a USB stick.

For Mac/Apple

The library acquired a CD-ROM that can be used to install the EndNote X3 program on Mac computers. This means that EndNote, an easy-to-use reference management software program, is now also available to Mac users, as it has been for quite some time now to Windows users. The software can be found via the catalogue.

Should you have any questions about EndNote, please check the pages on our website. Or contact the officers of the library's information desk.

EndNote and Microsoft Word

EndNote X3 and earlier versions  are not compatible with Word 2010/2011.
If you are an EndNote user, we advise you to wait with the installation of Word 2010/11.
