‘This is the best decision I could ever have made’

‘Ever since I was very young, I wanted to be a programmer. As time went on, I became more and more captivated by video games.

It didn’t take a long time for me to discover NHTV and the Creative Media and Game Technologies / International Game Architecture and Design programme. I learned that it’s considered one of the best game programmes in Europe, with lecturers coming straight from the industry and several partnerships with big names in this field. Frankly, the other study programme I was looking into had nothing compared to what NHTV was offering. So, the choice was easy.

So far my experience at NHTV has been amazing. I have worked with people from so many backgrounds and learned so much in the process. I developed myself more than I had ever expected to within such a short time and it’s all thanks to the support, encouragement and guidance of our dear lecturers.

Most new popular games take years to complete by a large team of experienced developers. This is what we train to do – work closely within a team to create an enjoyable, industry standard product. And then perhaps play it!

The atmosphere at NHTV is fun and friendly. At International Game Architecture and Design I feel students and lecturers talk to us as equals, giving us valuable advice, pointing us towards our own research. It’s an amazing experience to be around all these people with the same interests as you. The International Game Architecture and Design community is very close in general and I really feel at home.’
