Summer School with CEPT

From 4 to 8 June the Academy for Urban Development welcomed 24 students and their professor from CEPT University in Ahmedabad, India, for the summer school ‘Understanding sustainable and smart urban growth in megalopolis Randstad’.

RECOVRY: Virtual Reality therapy for people with an alcohol addiction

On 10 April 2018, NHTV and Novadic-Kentron (NK) agreed to carry out research into how virtual reality technology could contribute to the recovery of clients after a detoxification process from alcohol. The project which is entitled RECOVRY (standing for RElapse COntrol VR TherapY) will research how clients can use new virtual reality technology to enable them to gain the upper hand over their alcohol addiction after detoxification.

GAME RULES

Procedural content generation is a well-known gaming industry method: images and virtual spaces are automatically generated from algorithms, with users potentially playing a role. The self-generating nature brings unforeseen possibilities. In GAME RULES, young game developers and artists Oskar Stålberg and Anastasia Opara, present several examples.
