Lecturers are involved in various research projects to study current issues in sustainable tourism and to provide academic answers and practically relevant solutions.
An example at NHTV is the professorship ‘Sustainable Tourism and Transport’, in which the relationships between tourism, tourist transportation, and climate change are studied. At Wageningen University, for example, the 'Cultural Geography' and 'Environmental Policy' groups currently execute research projects on tourism, nature conservation and sustainable development.
