Within the International Tourism Management programme it is about you and your choices. However, you do not have to do it all on your own. Coaching is an important component of the programme. You will have a coach who supports you in your development process. You are encouraged to ask yourself questions, for instance, ‘What are my talents and competencies? What am I looking for in my placement? What should my future job look like?’. It is important to know what you want, what you are capable of and to reflect on your own performance. Besides this, you might need to coach your own team, once you become a manager yourself.
The student counsellor provides information, advice and guidance relating to educational and occupational choices, study conditions and student grants. This is also the person to turn to if you wish to discuss personal problems that may be affecting your life as a student.
