Can I still borrow or renew items when I have received a return reminder?

Yes, you can. However, when your fine is already 10 euro's or more it's not possible anymore. You will first have to return the overdue item and pay the fine, before you are allowed to borrow or renew items again.

I don’t know when my books are due for return. How can I find this out?

Go to the NHTV Catalogue and select ‘Borrower info’ in the menu bar to the top. Enter your student or employee number and the first three letters of your last name. You will then be presented with a list of items on loan to you and when these are due for return.

I am going to do/go abroad for- my graduation assignment, can I keep my library items for longer than the standard loan period?

If you are going to do your graduation project in the Netherlands or abroad and you hand in your graduation contract or a form signed by your supervising lecturer to the library, you will be entitled to extended loan privileges for the duration of your graduation project.

Study Books (compulsory literature), DVD's and journals are not lendable for a longer period.

I am going on a placement, can I keep my library items for longer than the standard loan period?

If you are going on a placement, and you hand in your placement contract or a signed form by your supervising lecturer to the library, you will be entitled to extended loan privileges for the duration of your placement (maximum of six months).

Study Books (compulsory literature), DVD's and journals are not lendable for a longer period.
