NHTV and BNN-VARA joined Hilversum Media Campus as strategic partners

NHTV and BNN-VARA joined Hilversum Media Campus as strategic partners. Together they are strongly committed to lifelong learning in the media sector. Hilversum Media Campus has the ambition of bringing education and business closer together to facilitate long-term strengthening of the Dutch media industry.

The media industry is characterised by huge dynamism, with companies placing ever higher demands on their employees as a result. Hilversum Media Campus has the ambition of better connecting education and business and creating a platform for lifelong learning in the media industry. HMC explores avenues to keep its educational offerings relevant and up to date, offers a stepping stone for students and professionals to stay dedicated to their development, and organises innovation projects which involve different parties working together and developing knowledge with regard to, for instance, the very latest technologies.

Daphne Heeroma, academy director of NHTV’s Academy for Digital Entertainment: “Actively operating in Hilversum Media Campus will allow NHTV to quickly respond to the needs of the media industry and translate these needs into educational pathways. Consequently, we will be able to strengthen our industry relations and offer attractive future prospects to both our regular students and our executive master’s students.”

Hilversum Media Campus is a joint initiative of business, education and government. Its steering group is made up of the City of Hilversum, Beeld en Geluid, iMMovator, RTL Nederland, United, ROC van Amsterdam, HKU and Media Park. In addition to these earliest partners, who already announced to extend their commitment to Hilversum Media Campus for another year, NHTV and BNN-VARA have now also joined HMC as strategic partners. On Tuesday 12 July the partners ‘sealed their deal’ at a networking barbecue and they are looking forward to a fruitful future. HMC is expecting to further expand its partner network this year.
